Collection Tub Managers

fundraising collections tubs

Commitment: A few hours, Every 6 weeks

Collection tubs in local shops, pubs and social clubs are of upmost importance to us. Both in terms of collecting any loose change that people may have, and also for providing our Charity with visibility, enabling people to recognise our Charity logo and hopefully engage with us further.

Our collection tubs in Widnes, Runcorn and St Helens enable us to pay for our Charity van, Insurance, and also the fuel that is needed for us to travel across Halton and St Helens on duties such as collecting donated sportswear and sports equipment for our ReSport Project.

About this Opportunity

We have numerous flexible opportunities in which people will distribute, replace and retrieve our collection tubs in local shops/pubs and return them to our Charity premises for counting.

We are looking for people who can volunteer for just a few hours every 6 weeks with tubs to be collected and returned to our premises when suitable to the volunteer.

This role is very flexible.

We have numerous opportunities available in Widnes, Runcorn and St Helens, with each ’round’ of premises consisting of 5 or 6 collection tubs. See below for details of the collection rounds.

Practical Considerations

Volunteers will preferably be over 18, reliable, and able to travel by vehicle or foot to local premises. Collection tubs can also be heavy when full, so this must be taken into account by anybody interested in this role. Travel expenses can be paid if necessary.

Additional Information

We are looking for trustworthy individuals as the role will require the potential handling of money, and a DBS check may be required in some circumstances. References will be required in all cases.

If you consider yourself to be organised and are comfortable in conversation with other members of the public, we would love to hear from you regarding the specific roles available below. (Individual ’rounds’ can be combined upon request)
