Events Co-Ordinators

Our events calendar is very important for both the ongoing marketing and promotion of the Charity and also for the vital generation of funds through the individuals events that we run across the North West, including Soul and Motown Nights, 80’s Disco’s, Family Events and more.

As with our other fundraising methods, all funds raised help us to keep working on a daily basis towards our Charity objectives and without the income, we would cease to be.

About this Opportunity

We are looking for numerous volunteers for this particular role, as we have many fundraising events planned for 2017 and beyond. The role will include helping with the successful organisation and delivery of our events by attending evening events and in particular focussing on such things as raffles/auctions, liaising with social club managers and staff/DJ’s/entertainment, and taking donation money on the night.

Volunteers for this role will predominantly be required to help at events on Friday and Saturday evenings, but there will be no strict requirement to attend all events.

There may be a requirement to also assist with the marketing and promotion of events through poster/leaflet distribution and also the selling of event tickets prior to events.

Practical Considerations

Volunteers will preferably be over 18, and able to travel by vehicle or foot to local premises. Travel expenses can be claimed if required.

Additional Information

We are looking for individuals that are enthusiastic, organised, friendly and customer focused. The perfect volunteers would be able to work as part of a team and have the experience to problem solve. Experience of organising and delivering events would be invaluable but is not essential. Planning skills would be desirable.

A DBS check may be required in some circumstances. References will be required in all cases.

If this exciting role sounds like something that would be of interest and you feel strongly that you could be an asset to the Charity, please contact John at
