ReSport Leaflet Distributor

ReSport is our primary community project for 2017. We currently have 0ver 40 local schools across Halton Borough that are collecting unwanted sportswear and sports equipment on a regular basis from pupils and families in the local area, as well as us having drop-off points in all of the local Co-Op stores and Community Centres.

Donated items are then taken to our storage facility and laundered, before being redistributed to individuals and families in need across Halton.

About this Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a volunteer for the role of ReSport Project Leaflet Distributor. The role is very flexible and will involve the volunteer to take ReSport Project leaflets out to local Schools, shops, pubs and community facilities across Widnes and Runcorn. The locations will be expecting the leaflets and there will be no ‘cold-calling’ involved whatsoever. All leaflets drop locations will be provided to the volunteer beforehand as will the name of the person expecting the delivery. This role is on an ad-hoc basis only when leaflets are required by the third party. This role could be carried out alongside another volunteer role that we have available.

Practical Considerations

Volunteers will preferably be over 18, and able to travel by vehicle to locations throughout Halton. The role could involve carrying of large bundles of leaflets which can be heavy, so any volunteers should take this into consideration. Travel expenses can be claimed if required.

Additional Information

We are looking for individuals that are flexible, organised and friendly. Punctuality is also important for this particular role as the drop-off points where leaflets will be taken may only have a narrow window of opportunity at which to drop off the leaflets.

A DBS check may be required in some circumstances. References will be required in all cases.

If this role sounds like something that would be of interest and you feel strongly that you could be an asset to the Charity, please contact John at
