Oh, what a night!!
Saturday 5th March was our Official Cathie Stankevitch Foundation launch night and the first of our events programme, and the evening went down a storm, with over 100 guests enjoying music from the 80’s.
There were some excellent costumes on show and the dance floor was lit up with glitter and neon colours.
It was the kind of night that mum would have loved to have been there for and I know for sure that mum would have been the first person up dancing when Whitney Houston was blasting out.
DJ and compere Roy Basnett hosted the evening and held a raffle which included prizes such as signed Rugby League shirts, Karina Burns Dance Academy classes, Physiotherapy Clinic vouchers, Burdens donated Golf Day and other smaller prizes such as bottles of wine.
Those in attendance included family and mums friends and each of us went away having had a great laugh and for a fantastic cause.
All money raised from the event will contribute to Community Projects that we will be running in 2016 and with £160 raised from the raffle alone, we can certainly say that the night was a success.
Please keep an eye out for our upcoming events in the coming weeks and months and if you can show your support and join us at any events in 2016, that would be fantastic.
We look forward to you helping us make 2016 a great Launch year for the Cathie Stankevitch Foundation.
